Being Updated
Recently, Paul Road School held a successful "Family STEAM Night" where parents and students worked together to build working bridges out of recycled materials. The school is honoring the most recent winners of the "Character Award," which goes to students who have consistently shown respect and responsibility, two of the school's core values. The campus has also just added a new "Book Vending Machine" that gives students a free book of their choice when they reach certain academic goals.
Q1. How does the 5th-grade curriculum at Paul Road School include "Problem-Based Learning"?
Ans. Students work together in groups to solve problems in their communities, like making parks or bettering the recycling systems in their neighborhoods.
Q2. Are there any clubs at Paul Road School where students can perform plays or music?
Ans. Every spring, our "Drama Stars" club puts on a full-stage show. This gives students practice in both acting and stagecraft.
Q3. What does Paul Road School do to make sure that students who use school laptops are safe online?
Ans. All students get "Cyber-Shield" training and use devices that filter out bad content to make sure their online research is safe and useful.
Q4. How does the "Character Award" system at Paul Road School show that students are nice?
Ans. Students are nominated for "Kindness Coins" by their teachers and classmates. We celebrate these coins at our monthly campus-wide leadership assemblies.
Q5. Does Paul Road School hold any workshops for parents during the school year?
Ans. We hold "Tech and Tea" nights to help parents learn how to help their kids with their digital homework at home.
