Being Updated
Laurelton-Pardee Intermediate School is celebrating the start of its "Digital Citizenship" program, which teaches students how to use technology in a responsible and creative way. The school recently held a successful "Intermediate Olympics" for the third, fourth, and fifth grades. The event was meant to promote physical health and friendly competition. Also, students at the campus are being recognized for their work on a "Local Heroes" research project that looks at how people who lived in Rochester in the past affected the city.
Q1. What is the purpose of "Tiger Time" at Laurelton-Pardee Intermediate School every day?
Ans. This special block lets students get extra help with their schoolwork or take part in enrichment activities based on what they need right now.
Q2. Are there any after-school coding or robotics clubs at Laurelton-Pardee Intermediate School?
Ans. Every week, our "Tech Titans" club gets together to work on engineering problems and learn the basics of making digital games.
Q3. How does Laurelton-Pardee Intermediate School honor the diversity of its students and cultures?
Ans. Every year, we have a "Heritage Fair" where students and their families bring food, music, and stories from their own cultures to share.
Q4. Are parents allowed to be on the site-based decision-making team for Laurelton-Pardee Intermediate School?
Ans. We ask parents to join our Shared Decision-Making Committee to help us set goals for how well our campus is doing in school.
Q5. What specific safety measures are in place for the process of letting kids out of Laurelton-Pardee Intermediate School?
Ans. Every day, we use a color-coded dismissal system that staff members keep an eye on to make sure that every walker and car rider gets to their destination safely.
