Being Updated
Ivan L. Green Primary School recently held a "Primary Artists" night, where students showed off their original work that was inspired by famous Rochester buildings. The school is throwing a special party on campus for the "Perfect Attendance" winners. There will be games and healthy snacks. The library on campus has also added new "Sensory Learning" centers to help young students improve their focus and fine motor skills through hands-on play.
Q1. How does Ivan L Green Primary School help new students get used to the whole school day?
Ans. From the first day, our teachers use play-based transitions and social-emotional check-ins to make sure that every child feels safe and happy.
Q2. Does Ivan L Green Primary School have a special area for learning that is good for people with sensory issues?
Ans. Our library has sensory-friendly nooks where students can take a break or learn by touching things.
Q3. What is the Ivan L Green Primary School's policy for celebrating students' birthdays?
Ans. To keep our space healthy and welcoming, we celebrate with things that aren't food, like "Birthday Books" or games in the classroom.
Q4. How often do kids at Ivan L Green Primary School play outside and do physical education?
Ans. Our large play areas give students a chance to move around or have recess every day, which helps them improve their motor skills and coordination.
Q5. Is it possible for parents to volunteer for the "Reading Buddy" program at Ivan L Green Primary School?
Ans. Yes, we love it when parents volunteer to read with our small groups and help them love reading.
