Anna Murray-Douglass Academy recently celebrated the unveiling of a new mural that honors the school's namesake and promotes local history. The mural was inspired by the community. The new restorative justice program on campus is working well, and as a result, there has been a big rise in student-led mediation and good behavior in the classroom. This spring, the school also held a record-breaking "Family Literacy Night," where they gave away hundreds of free books to students and their families to get them to read at home.
