Gardnertown Leadership Academy recently honored its dedicated teachers and staff with a “Sweet Treat” event made possible by its very active Parent-Teacher Organisation. The school now seeks to develop students’ life skills and local civic responsibility through its unique leadership-themed curriculum. Families have been very grateful for the PTO's commitment to stocking the staffroom and supporting a number of student-led leadership projects this spring.
Q1. What does leadership development look like day-to-day at Gardnertown Leadership Academy?
Ans. Students learn leadership through positions such as hall monitors, office helpers, and peer-led morning announcements.
Q2. Do students wear school uniforms at Gardnertown Leadership Academy?
Ans. Students are encouraged to dress in professional attire on select leadership assembly days, but it is not required.
Q3. Which are extracurricular clubs and activities at Gardnertown Leadership Academy?
Ans. The answer is. The school has a number of clubs, including the gardening club, student council, and various athletic intramural programs.
Q4. What is the Gardnertown Leadership Academy policy on school bus safety for students?
Ans. Students also participate in periodic bus safety drills, and are expected to follow the district’s rules of conduct while riding.
Q5. Are there 1:1 devices for use in the classroom at Gardnertown Leadership Academy?
Ans. Students are issued a Chromebook to use for interactive learning and digital literacy projects.
