Urban Assembly School For Media Studies keeps expanding its communications and technology curriculum. Students are producing podcasts on multilingualism, programming autobiographical portraits using Scratch, and researching ethical applications of AI chatbots for lesson planning. The school creates professional digital portfolios that develop career readiness and classroom reflection, and employs games, animations and digital stories to make instruction come alive. In partnerships with NYC Public Schools and citywide programs like Broadway Bridges, 10th graders can also see Broadway shows for $10, connecting media coursework to real-world arts experiences.
