P.S. 3 Charrette School in Greenwich Village gained some recent publicity for its impressive incorporation of the arts into its curriculum and the displays of student creativity. One particularly notable program was an entire school project involving poetry. Students created their own poetry pieces and were able to publish them during National Poetry Month through poetry workshops in the classroom and help from volunteer members of the community.
