Bard High School Early College Queens is a public early college high school in Long Island City . It is part of the New York City Public Schools and serves grades 9 through 12. There are 900 pupils in the school. Student to teacher ratio enables intensive academic teaching and learning at college level. Bard High School Early College Queens is a one-of-a-kind early college model in partnership with Bard College that allows students to earn a high school diploma and up to an associate degree. Students take college-level classes, seminars and discussions in high school to prepare them for competitive universities and academic rigor. The student body reflects the diverse and multicultural community of Queens. Math proficiency is at 80 percent and reading proficiency is at 90 percent.
