The most recent developments at P.S. 160 Walter Francis Bishop show that there has been consistent instructional emphasis within the school throughout the present academic year. There has been an increase in programs for academic intervention in the school as well as a literacy program within the current academic year. The teachers have continued to build upon the reading and mathematical foundation in the early grades using classroom instruction and small group instruction. Moreover, the school has organized additional family activities aimed at improving communication between the teachers and the parents.

Ans. Clubs, arts classes, and basic sports are among the activities offered to students according to their grade levels and seasons.
Q2. Is attendance determined by zone or application?
Ans. Attendance is usually determined on the basis of zone policy, but certain programs require standard NYC public school attendance.
Q3. What are the regular operating hours of the school?
Ans. The school operates at regular NYC elementary school hours from Monday through Friday.
Q4. Are there meals offered at the school?
Ans. Breakfast and lunch programs for students are offered within the school day.
Q5. Is there special education service in the school?
Ans. The school offers various special education services as well as special education programs to students who need more assistance with their learning.
