We at Woodland Avenue School are thrilled to announce our new leadership for the 2025-2026 school year as we continue our tradition of academic excellence. The school community recently came together students, alumni and families for a celebration of local pride in a district-wide homecoming parade. And the district’s expanding special education leadership team is empowering teachers in new inclusive education strategies.
Q1. How are students selected for the news broadcast team at Woodland Avenue School?
Ans. Interested fifth-grade students can apply and audition for various roles including anchor, camera operator, and scriptwriter.
Q2. Does Woodland Avenue School have a dedicated space for student assemblies?
Ans. Large school-wide events and performances are held in the multi-purpose room which serves as a gymnasium and auditorium.
Q3. What is the process for changing a student's dismissal routine at Woodland Avenue School?
Ans. A signed note must be submitted to the classroom teacher on the morning the change is to occur.
Q4. Does Woodland Avenue School offer a dual-language immersion program?
Ans. The school follows the standard district curriculum and does not currently offer a specific dual-language immersion track.
Q5. How does Woodland Avenue School recognize "Student of the Month" achievements?
Ans. Selected students are highlighted on the main lobby bulletin board and receive a certificate during a school-wide announcement.
