Being Updated
In December 2025, 250 students at Robert F. Kennedy Community Middle School honored special education teacher Brian Johnson. Assemblyman Sam Berger gave him a proclamation. The award honored his work helping both students and the Flushing community as a whole. The award went to staff members who worked with the community and in special education. The event shows how teachers who work in local schools are honored with awards from outside groups.
