East Elmhurst Community School will continue to support New York City’s literacy and multilingual learning initiatives during the 2025–26 academic year. District 30 programs also feature expanded student support and family engagement work in Queens elementary schools.

Ans. Yes, the school may have after school activities such as tutoring, arts programs and student clubs during the school year.
Q2. Do you have transportation for students?
Ans. Eligible students will be provided with school bus service or MetroCards, as provided for by New York City education transportation policies.
Q3. Does the school have English language learners?
Ans. Yes, students needing extra language support can get English as a New Language (ENL) services.
Q4. Will I get a chance to volunteer in the school?
Ans. We encourage parents to participate in school meetings, events, and family engagement programs throughout the year.
Q5. What kind of learning technology is used in the classroom?
Ans. Students can use online educational tools, laptops and smart boards to enhance their classroom learning and assignments.
