Sawmill Intermediate has named Lisa DeRienzo as its new Principal. DeRienzo will be taking the helm following the retirement of Michelle Tancredi Zott. The campus recently hosted a "Family STEAM Night" where students built catapults and hovercrafts. This May, Sawmill students are also benefiting from a "Real Life Statistics" carnival hosted by Commack High School students, turning complex math into a day of hands-on fun.
