Being Updated
In 2026, the Stanley M. Makowski Early Childhood Center created a family-oriented Saturday Academy program that engaged families with a variety of options from workshops to activities. They also launched a reading campaign that encouraged students to read books they enjoy, which increased students' interest in reading. In addition, students received assistance with homework and had the opportunity to take additional classes to learn something new. They provided a summer program to assist families in identifying things to do during summer as well as prepare for Kindergarten together, and create a positive environment that would support student growth.
