The spring months ahead at P.S. 247 promise to be full of fun as the school has Poem in Your Pocket Day on April 29, Harry Potter Day on May 2, Star Wars Day on May 4, Spirit Store lunch activities on May 5 and 6, and the PTA Bake Sale on May 12 lined up. This will definitely make it easier for parents to find several opportunities to help with their students’ learning at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

Ans. P.S. 247 offers after-school activities like robotics, coding, 3D printing, debate, violin, show choir, fine arts, STEM, and Girls Who Code.

Ans. P.S. 247 keeps families up to date all year long through its website, eChalk Notify, calendar posts, parent pages, and schoolwide announcements.
Q3. Are there any activities at P.S. 247 for students to lead?
Ans. P.S. 247 says that student government, the Student Council, the National Elementary Honor Society, and Civics for All are all organized ways for students to get involved.
Q4. What books and other reading materials are linked to P.S. 247?
Ans. P.S. 247 connects families to its library media center, Follett catalog, Sora, and NYC Reads materials that help with reading and writing outside of school.
Q5. What kinds of partnerships help make P.S. 247 a good place to learn?
Ans. P.S. 247 has partnerships with colleges, Dancing Classrooms, an Art Connection residency, NIA Beacon support, and project-based outreach that is linked to community learning.
