Phase-out of MS 394, located in Crown Heights, New York City, made headlines in May 2025 when the NYC Panel for Educational Policy unanimously voted to close the school within the next three school years, replacing it with the new Central Brooklyn Literacy Academy, which specializes in teaching students with dyslexia or other difficulties related to literacy.
