May 20, 2025: Seeds in the Middle student Alexandra Rodriguez testifies before the NYC Council Committee on Finance calling for greater access to fresh produce in Coney Island and to reduce health disparities like diabetes and heart disease. The transfer high school partners with JCCA and the Department of Education to offer college trips and CUNY college prep classes to over-age, under-credited young adults on an accelerated Regents Diploma track. Students participate in extracurricular activities including the Junior Citizens Police Academy, PSAL Boys Basketball, talent and fashion shows and the Anti-Violence Coalition.
