Dr. Susan S. McKinney Secondary School of the Arts continues to expand its arts programming with a Black Box Theatre, art studios and music spaces that give students daily classes in dance, musical theatre and visual arts. Students are given a laptop to use throughout their high school years, and to support wellness and performance, the school has added a fitness center, Zen and recreation rooms and a 500-seat auditorium. They partner with Brooklyn Academy of Music and Girl Be Heard to offer internships and real-world arts opportunities. Their mentorship program includes college tours, workshops, and one-on-one counseling.

Ans. Yes, students can learn how to be leaders by joining student groups, working on group projects, and mentoring other students.

Ans. Yes, Older kids can teach younger kids how to be leaders, work together, and help each other.

Ans. Yes, Dr Susan S Mckinney Secondary School Of The Arts helps students' mental, emotional, and social health by giving them counseling and wellness programs.
