P.S. 55 Benjamin Franklin hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in February 2026 to unveil a newly renovated computer lab supported by Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the Jazz Chisholm Foundation. The upgraded technology space included 25 touchscreen laptops, a 65-inch interactive presentation screen, and a PlayStation 5 system designated for supervised recreational incentives at the Bronx school. The renovation was completed to expand student access to technology resources and support classroom learning activities. Technology partnership projects between schools and nonprofit organizations continue to provide updated digital learning environments for students in urban school districts.
