P.S. 236 Langston Hughes celebrated its 5th Grade Graduation in June 2023 and recently hosted a visit from the Museum of Interesting Things in November 2025, which featured interactive demonstrations of historical inventions. The school continues to foster community spirit through monthly values, such as Respect for October 2025 and Honesty for May 2025. Additionally, select 5th-grade students were honored as Education All-Stars with a special trip to Yankee Stadium.
