Alfred E. Smith Career and Technical Education High School recently updated several of its CTE workshops, including automotive and electrical labs, to current industry standards. The school also has expanded dual enrollment opportunities for students to earn college credits in technical and engineering-related fields. A new series of career-focused seminars by industry professionals has been launched to bridge the gap between what students learn in the classroom and what’s expected in the workforce. Students have also participated in recent hands-on competitions and project showcases to demonstrate their technical skills and creativity.
