Bayside is a suburban community found in the northeastern section of Queens, New York City. It consists of an estimated population of about 50,000–55,000 people. It is mainly composed of families who desire to live in a safe neighborhood that is committed to educational advancement within the city limits.
This community falls under the jurisdiction of New York City District 26, where some of the best public elementary schools in the state of New York are found, e.g., P.S. 203 and P.S. 41. In most cases, these two schools perform exceptionally well, scoring outstanding proficiency levels in math and reading. The education system here places a lot of emphasis on educational excellence, giftedness, and enrichment.
