Being Updated
Edith Garehime Elementary School is now accepting donations for Garehime's Foodbank. Families and community members are encouraged to contribute nonperishable food items to support students and local families in need.
Q1. How does Garehime Elementary School teach kids to be kind and responsible?
Ans. The school's Lifeskills and Lifelong Guidelines, which include being responsible, honest, listening actively, and "No Put Downs," set the standard for behavior at Garehime. Teachers tell their students to always do their "personal best," and they use these words to talk about making choices, solving problems, and treating others well.
Q2. What is Garehime Heights, and how does it help students?
Ans. Garehime Heights is the school's model city, where each class runs a business or government agency to help students learn in a new way. Students learn what it means to be a valued member of a community while also practicing collaboration, critical thinking, and communication through this program.
Q3. How does Edith Garehime Elementary help families who don't have enough food?
Ans. The school has a food bank where people can donate food, and it is given to families who may need extra help. This initiative is part of Garehime's community support. The school teaches students that being a Grizzly means caring for others by asking the community to help and sharing information about available resources.
Q4. What health resources do families at Garehime share?
Ans. The school website has information that helps with wellness at Garehime, such as links to healthy meal options and student wellness information. Families can learn about nutrition, exercise, and how to keep their kids healthy overall. These resources will help them make choices at home that are in line with what their kids are learning at school.
Q5. How does Garehime handle attendance and communication between home and school?
Ans. Parents can keep track of their kids' attendance at Garehime with an online attendance note and reminders like "Attendance Matters" in the news section. Families can quickly report absences, receive help for parents, and stay up-to-date on what the school expects so that students develop beneficial, consistent attendance habits.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
