C. T. Sewell Elementary School hosted a tree giveaway event on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in partnership with Clark County’s Department of Environment and Sustainability. The event was part of the “Stay Cool Clark County” project, with most trees pre-registered and additional trees offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q1. How does Sewell Elementary address disruptive behavior and the culture of the school?
Ans. Sewell encourages a culture in which all students are expected to be safe, responsible, and respectful. Teachers ensure that these values are part of their daily routines, classrooms, and interactions on campus.
Q2. What does Sewell do to ensure that students arrive to and from school safely?
Ans. There is a structured drop-off and pick-up routine, clear signs, and adult supervision during transitions at the school, so students can safely move on and off campus every day.

Families get regular newsletters, event updates on the school website, and alerts about upcoming programs and volunteer opportunities. This keeps them in touch.
Q4. How can parents become involved with Sewell Elementary?
Ans. Parents can help the school community in important ways by volunteering, joining school committees, and taking part in events and fundraisers.
Q5. What does Sewell Elementary do to help students feel better emotionally?
Ans. Sewell offers a program led by a counselor, links to resources for social-emotional skills, and chances for students to learn how to resolve conflicts, control their emotions, and help each other as they grow.
