Lyal Burkholder Middle School is being converted into a magnet school with a focus on Environmental Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) as part of Clark County School District’s (CCSD) efforts to expand rigorous academic pathways.

A $15 million federal Magnet Schools Assistance Program grant supports this transformation, enabling students to engage in interdisciplinary STEM learning with real-world applications.
