Barry Elementary School was recently chosen as a "Spotlight School" for the year 2025. This award is given to the best 25% of public schools in the state. It shows that the school is doing better academically and that its students are doing well. Barry, which is now called Barry STEAM Academy, also won the 2025 New Mexico Excellence in STEM Award. The award shows how committed the school is to modern teaching methods and hands-on learning.
