Marie H Katzenbach High School has a great athletics program that helps students learn how to work as a team, be a good sport, and be proud of their school through a variety of competitive sports. The school has a long history; in 1927, it was the first team to win the boys' basketball championship for the Eastern Schools for the Deaf Athletic Association (ESDAA). Katzenbach still plays in ESDAA tournaments, which celebrate Deaf culture and sports excellence.
