On October 20, 2025, the Camden Preschool Initiative was launched to improve the educational experience for preschoolers by embedding health screenings and learning assessments in the early childhood education program. Funded by Rowan University/Rutgers-Camden Board of Governors and the Norcross Foundation for a total of $550,000.

Aniyah Byers, a recent graduate from Camden High School, will be studying political science and pre-law at Villanova University after being inspired by her volunteer work and her love of helping others.

On June 2025, 16-year-old football player Xyere Brooks was tragically shot and killed, deeply impacting the school community, which offered grief counseling on campus through the pastoral services chaplain.
