The "Flex Farm" program at Thorntons Ferry School just got a $2,000 grant to grow. It uses hydroponics inside. The students take care of the garden, which grows fresh lettuce for lunches at school. They also learn about STEAM, healthy eating, and how to be environmentally friendly. The program shows that the school values hands-on, creative learning and wants to help students develop healthy habits along with their regular schoolwork.
