Broken Ground School celebrated the grand opening of its new on-site food pantry in October 2025. The initiative, supported by local organizations, builds on five years of mobile food markets previously run by staff.
Q1. What does Broken Ground do to get students to take responsibility for their decisions?
Ans. During class meetings, students set goals and think about what they did, which helps them understand how their actions affect their learning and the school community.
Q2. How does the school keep the morning calm?
Ans. Staff members greet students at the door, help them move through the hallways, and make sure that everyone starts the day calm and focused.
Q3. How does Broken Ground keep families involved in their children's daily learning?
Ans. Teachers send families weekly updates, pictures, and summaries of what students are working on in class.
Q4. What does Broken Ground do with its community partnerships?
Ans. The school works with groups in the area to plan enrichment projects, seasonal events, and wellness activities that give students new experiences.
Q5. What does the school do when students need help getting along with their peers?
Ans. Staff coaches students on how to communicate, be fair, and calm down, making sure that conflicts are handled in a positive way.
