Westmont Elementary School held a successful food drive in May 2025. The school exceeded its original goal by collecting more than 3,000 items. All donations were delivered to the local food bank to support families in need.
Q1. How does Westmont help students see patterns that happen over and over in their daily lives?
Ans. Teachers help students guess what will happen next by pointing out patterns in the classroom, like morning routines or center rotations.
Q2. How does the school help students use early grouping strategies in math?
Ans. Students use counters, tiles, and small objects to put things into groups, which helps them get ready for multiplication.
Q3. How does Westmont get students ready for learning sessions led by guests?
Ans. Teachers go over the rules, show students how to listen respectfully, and help them come up with questions for visitors.
Q4. What do students do every day to keep their writing supplies in order?
Ans. Students keep their notebooks, pencils, and erasers in labeled boxes and do daily prep work before writing time.
Q5. How does the school teach kids about safety in bad weather?
Ans. Through age-appropriate safety talks, students learn what to do in case of storms, high winds, or very hot or cold weather.
