NEWELL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL participated in district initiatives aimed at strengthening early literacy and building strong classroom communities across Grand Island Public Schools. Teachers incorporated new reading materials, book clubs, and small-group conferences to better match texts with student interests. Math lessons emphasized problem-solving and the use of visual models, while technology stations provided additional practice in both subjects.
