Recently Brooks Harbor Elementary School's inclusive playground has become a favorite part of the school day. People are also talking about the school because of its welcoming and open outdoor play area. During recess, kids of all abilities can play, explore, and connect with each other in a fun and engaging space. The playground was made with equipment that is easy for kids in wheelchairs or with mobility issues to use, so they can play with their friends and have fun together. Teachers at Brooks Harbor say that this play area for everyone not only gets kids moving, but it also teaches them to be kind, work together, and respect each other, which makes the school feel more like a community.
