The Souris River Campus is starting a new personalized learning program that uses flexible scheduling to make it easier for students to get career certifications and internships. Recent changes include the addition of modern digital tools that let students learn math and science at their own pace. The school also recently held a ceremony to honor students who reached their individual credit milestones and got ready for life after high school.
Q1. Are college prep tests available to high school students?
Ans. As part of their planning for college, the school gives each student personalized help with registering for and studying for the ACT and SAT.
Q2. What sets this way of teaching apart?
Ans. The school uses project-based learning, which lets students use what they've learned in school in real-life situations.
Q3. What does the school do to promote personal responsibility?
Ans. Goal-setting workshops give students the tools they need to take charge of their education and keep track of how far they have come toward graduation.
Q4. Is there a focus on growing socially and emotionally?
Ans. Integrated support programs help students in school learn how to deal with problems and get along with others, which are skills they will need for the rest of their lives.
Q5. Are school students able to look into their career interests?
Ans. Students can do job-shadowing and work-study programs through partnerships with local businesses.
