The Fargo 9-12 Virtual Academy recently celebrated the achievements of its latest graduates during a Semester 1 commencement ceremony held at the Bluestem Center for the Arts in late January 2026. This year, the academy is serving as a primary pilot school for a new district-wide initiative focused on boosting student engagement through innovative incentives and specialized privileges. Additionally, students continue to expand their community involvement through active organizations such as Philanthropy and Youth (PaY) and the National Honor Society.
Q1. How do students at the academy get to take standardized tests?
Ans. The Fargo 9-12 Virtual Academy works with local sites to make sure that school students can take the SAT and ACT tests.
Q2. What are the good things about a flexible learning environment?
Ans. The virtual platform lets students set their own pace for learning, which works with their own schedules and learning styles.
Q3. Is there a focus on digital literacy?
Ans. The curriculum is meant to give school kids the advanced tech skills they need to get a job in today's world.
Q4. Are school kids allowed to go to local events?
Ans. Even in a virtual setting, students are encouraged to take part in social events and activities outside of school that are open to everyone in the district.
Q5. What does personalized support look like?
Ans.Dedicated online teachers offer one-on-one sessions to help students learn difficult ideas and stay on track.
