Rocky Mount Middle School won first place in the district-wide Middle School Battle of the Books. The team beat out several other middle schools in the region including Nash Central, Red Oak and Southern Nash for the championship title. The achievement showed the students’ success in reading comprehension and literary knowledge competition. The victory was a major academic accomplishment for the school’s literacy and enrichment programs.
