Pleasant Union Elementary is one of the best rated Elementary School in North Carolina and is well known for its academic achievements and amazing community support. Pleasant Union Elementary has a rating of an "A", and with most students, over 75%, taking math and reading tests scoring above the states proficiency levels consistently! Parents love the leadership, support by teachers, and PTA who supports and funds many enrichment programs, art programs and field trips. They also run fantastic events like the annual Fun Run that builds both school spirit and excitement to fundraise. The school raised more than $15,000 in 2019 using DonorChoose projects to fund innovative products/services to support teachers and their classrooms. Pleasant Union is a great example of all of the strengths of Elementary Schools in North Carolina.
