Students at J.N. Fries Magnet School recently competed in the 2026 season of the FIRST NC Robotics Competition. Students with coaches and mentors spent months designing and building robots for the regional events in March, 2026. The program was a good example of the school’s emphasis on hands-on STEM education and working together to solve problems. It provided students an opportunity to practice engineering in a competitive environment.
