South Mecklenburg High School students Duncan Kennedy and Kaylee Navarro won national silver medals in the 2026 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for their submissions. Students are national medalists in the prestigious arts and writing contest. The awards celebrated the quality of their creative work and were judged from entries submitted by students from across the nation.
