Eblen Middle School. Transition Night. Early May. The event was an opportunity for families of new fifth and sixth grade to learn about the school community and academic programs. Families got to meet teachers, see the curriculum in action and take part in hands-on activities like scavenger hunts. The program helped students in transition and families get ready for the next school year.
Q1. Are the younger and older grades separated at Eblen Intermediate?
Ans. Yes. Eblen Intermediate is the upper elementary and intermediate grades before students move on to Buncombe County middle school campuses.
Q2. What kinds of enrichment classes does Eblen Intermediate offer?
Ans. Eblen Intermediate students take classes in music, art, media, and physical education in addition to their academic subjects.
Q3. How do Eblen Intermediate teachers prepare students for middle school?
Ans. In later grades, students develop independence in stages through rotating schedules, organizational routines and more responsibility in the classroom.
Q4. Are celebrations important at Eblen Intermediate?
Ans. Yes. Family events, student showcases and schoolwide activities are a regular part of campus life each year at Eblen Intermediate.
Q5. What do parents usually need on line from Eblen Intermediate?
Ans. Families often use Buncombe County’s online systems to look up bus transportation information, cafeteria accounts and school calendars.
