A lot of people have been talking about Walton Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi, lately because it has done so well. Recently, the school threw a party to celebrate how creative its students are. They put big words on clothes and posters that came to life. This made the hallways bright and full of smiles. The Alyce Clarke Award for September went to Denise Thaggard, the assistant principal, for all the work she did to help students and teachers.
The Community Schools program is also run by Jackson Public Schools. The program's main goal is to help students and their families in every way it can. This work has made local leaders more well-known across the country and brought in more help. Scholar Appreciation Week and Back to School Night are two events that show how Walton Elementary is preparing for a bright future.

Ans. Walton Elementary combines lessons in school with activities that help kids be creative and make friends.

Ans. Students stay interested when they have interactive lessons and work on projects together.

Ans. Staff help meet the needs of each student by giving them advice and support.
