There is a lot of excitement at Pecan Park Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi. The school is part of a $250 million construction project that will improve schools, deal with overcrowding, and use designs that are strong. This project will not only make schools better places to learn, but it will also help the local economy.

The school has been honoring students' accomplishments, like those who met their Accelerated Reader (AR) goals and did well on state tests, at the 2025 JPS MAAP Awards. Pecan Park Elementary is also part of the Supper Meal Program, which makes sure that students have food to eat while they learn and grow.
