Oak Forest Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi, is getting ready for a better future! The school is part of a $250 million building project that will fix up schools, deal with overcrowding, and use designs that can handle damage. This project will not only make schools better places to learn, but it will also help the local economy.

As the winter break comes to an end, the school is getting ready to welcome students back on January 5, 2026, with new energy and excitement. The district wants to make sure that all of its students are ready for their future by fostering a culture of academic excellence and readiness for the workforce. The principal and other dedicated staff are working hard to make the school a friendly and positive place where students can do well.
