The latest news is the students and staff at Progress South Elementary were excited to start the new school year. On the first day of school, older students helped welcome their younger classmates into their classrooms. This showed how much the school values community. Clubs are now in full swing, with almost 400 students asking for at least one extracurricular activity. This shows that they are very involved outside of school. The school's outdoor classroom coordinator also led the effective project, which let younger students learn more life cycles in easy way. The school is clearly focussing on teamwork, balancing academics and extracurricular activities, and student leadership as it moves forward this year with a new motto: "Leading Together, Learning Forever."
