Aquila Elementary School is a public K–5 school in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. It is part of the St. Louis Park Public Schools system. The school has about 450 to 500 students, and there is about one teacher for every 14 students. Aquila Elementary School has a balanced academic approach that focuses on reading and writing, basic math skills, social and emotional learning, and hands-on learning in the arts and sciences. The school also offers targeted help and extra activities to help a wide range of students.
There are a lot of different kinds of students, and more than half of them say they belong to a minority group. The math and English language arts proficiency rates at the school are close to the state averages for Minnesota, according to U.S. News data. The average amount of money spent by the district on each student is about $13,000. Families say that the school is friendly and that there is a lot of community involvement. The latest news of Aquila Elementary school is , the number of students at Aquila Elementary School keeps going up, so the school is starting to make big changes to accommodate them. The project adds a separate kindergarten wing, a flexible learning space that teachers can use in different ways, and a multi-purpose room that is strong enough to be used as a storm shelter. The city gave the plans the green light in the spring of 2025, and construction crews were there shortly after. The school will stay open while the work is going on, and staff have been changing their schedules so that classes can go on as usual. School officials say that the changes are part of a long-term plan to make the building safer and more comfortable for how students learn today.
Aquila has also gotten new books for younger students and updated a number of places where students can learn, both inside and outside. Teachers have seen that students are getting used to the new layouts quickly. Families have also been helping out by coming to planning nights and doing whatever else is needed.

Students can join art clubs, music activities, enrichment groups, and seasonal programs that happen all year long.

Ans. Yes, the Kids Place program in the district offers supervised care, time for homework, and planned activities.

Ans. Tablets or laptops are available in classrooms, as well as digital tools for reading, math, and research.

Ans. Yes, families can join the PTO, help out at events, and support programs in the classroom and the community.
