Yinghua Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, offering Mandarin Chinese immersion education for students in kindergarten through grade 8. Founded in 2006, it is the first full immersion Chinese public charter school in the U.S. Midwest. Yinghua integrates rigorous academics aligned with Minnesota State Standards and the Core Knowledge Sequence, while building strong Mandarin fluency, cultural literacy, and global citizenship. The school environment emphasizes respect, safety, and collaboration among students, families, and staff. With small class sizes, dedicated faculty, and experiential learning, Yinghua Academy helps students meet high academic expectations in English language arts, mathematics, science,and social studies—all within a supportive dual-language framework.
