In Eagan, Minnesota, Glacier Hills Elementary School is a public arts-and-science school for kids in grades K–5. It is part of the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District (ISD 196). There are about 680 students at the school, and there is one teacher for every 14.6 students. The school places a lot of importance on a curriculum that includes both the arts and the sciences. Students do projects and activities that involve more than one subject to help them learn more and get involved. About 41% of the students are White, 21% are Asian, 16% are Black, 11% are Hispanic/Latino, and 10% are from more than one race. Based on state testing data, about 69% of students are good at math, and 66% are good at reading and English Language Arts (ELA). We don't know how much money each school spends on each student, but district-level funding helps pay for student resources and classroom instruction. The school is in a suburban area of Eagan, where the people are friendly and helpful. Glacier Hills Elementary is a great place for kids to learn because it has a strong academic base, a friendly atmosphere, and opportunities for children to learn about the arts and sciences.
New Playground Name
We are so excited to announce the name of our new playground! Following a school-wide and Robinson community vote we narrowed a large list of names down to four. Since our students will be using the playground on a daily basis, we gave them the final vote! 476.....

Being Updated
Family Arts & Science Night will be at Glacier Hills Elementary School on March 6, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Students and their families will show off projects that include art, music, and science. The theme of the event is to honor students' creativity and new ideas, which fits with the school's focus on the arts and sciences. Not too long ago, the school had a fundraiser at Chipotle. The money raised will be used to buy new multimedia equipment for the classrooms. These changes show that Glacier Hills wants to make learning more fun outside of the main subjects. Families are welcome to come, see what the students are doing, and learn more about the school's hands-on learning environment.
