Cedar Park Elementary STEM School in Apple Valley, Minnesota, is a public magnet school serving grades K–5. There are about 725 students at the school, and for every 12.7 students, there is one teacher. This means that there are fewer students in each class, and they get more one-on-one help. The school focuses on STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and math) and uses project-based learning and inquiry-driven instruction. Cedar Park Elementary also has a gifted program for students who are already doing well in school. The student population is diverse, with about 31.7% White, 24% African American, 16% Hispanic, 15.9% Asian, and other racial and ethnic groups represented. About 43.9% of students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, which shows that they come from a wide range of economic backgrounds. On state assessments, about 61% of students are proficient in math and 54% in reading/ELA. Per-pupil spending is approximately $13,261, consistent with district averages. The Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District (ISD 196) runs Cedar Park Elementary STEM School. It is known for its focus on STEM subjects, its diverse student body, and its supportive learning environment. This makes it a great choice for families who want a modern elementary school that is also hard academically.

Being Updated
Students, parents, and people from the community all came together to try out hands-on engineering exhibits, robotics demonstrations, and coding challenges. One highlight featured teams of students building and testing simple machines in the gym, while parents rotated through mini-workshops on supporting STEM learning at home. The event also marked the announcement of a new technology tax for the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District. This tax will pay for tablets in the classroom and better lab spaces starting next semester. The combination of the fun evening and new funding shows that the school is once again committed to STEM excellence.
