Siersma Elementary School is part of the Warren Consolidated Schools, with a long history of carrying on the tradition of education, as well as assessing the academic success and growth of students. The school reports a ratio of 14 to 1 in students to (classroom) teacher, so there has been the ability for personalized attention to be offered in class to support learning. The students at Siersma Elementary School have surpassed expectations and performed above the levels predicted as being typical in reading and math, with nearly half, or a little more, of the students performing at or above competent levels as defined by the state assessments. In 2019, Siersma Elementary School was awarded the Michigan Blue Ribbon Exemplary School Award for work done to improve as educators and as leaders. Siersma Elementary School offers grades PK–6, where they promote student learning and leadership through teamwork and inclusion. Siersma is said to be one of the best elementary schools in Michigan for families looking for excellent education for their children.
