Changes to the Phone Policy in the Classroom
The Comstock Public Schools district put a no-phone rule in place for students at the STEM Academy and other schools because they were worried about students getting distracted and losing focus.
Q1. What kinds of dual-credit or special scholarship opportunities does the school have?
Ans: Students in eighth grade at Comstock STEM Academy can receive high school credit. The Comstock Public Schools Foundation is in charge of scholarships for students who graduate from the district.
Q2. Does the school have a separate STEM lab or project-based areas?
Ans: Yes, it has a high-tech science lab for high school students and STEM time every day for all grades.
Q3. How is software for testing or students handled?
Ans: The school uses the district's student information system, such as "PowerSchool," which is the system of record.
